Chantouf Shoes

In aims to boost local shops around Hamra, Shantouf Shoes is a store scouted, owned by a window who had recently lost her husband in 2019. She had learned to fix shoes by watching him, but she struggled to get any customers after his death as the store was located in a narrow alley-way. To increase the shop's exposure, an Instagram account was set up for her, and this cart was built in collaboration with 3 artists.

This movable cart is the built to increase exposure by displaying the shoes around town for selling, and also contains a space for small shoe fixes on the go. There are compartments for the owner to store their personal belongings, as well as a chair for clients to sit on and try on shoes.
